Connections Help Needed By An "oldie"

I am hoping that someone with the same gear as myself, and has successfully connected it all up, can describe the various connections to get all to work properly.

Toshiba Regza32WLT66 (TV)
Panasonic DMREX75 (DVD Recorder)
Humax PVR 9200T (Video Recorder)

I have an HDMI cable.

So far I have had no success in connecting all 3 items and am hoping that someone more knowledgeble than I in these matters can help !

Do you have 2 SCART cables? I suspect HDMI is for high definition receivers.

Look on the back of your TV and see how many SCART connectors you have. A SCART socket looks like one of the 4 sockets in this picture (http://www.maplin.co.uk/images/full/4724i0.jpg).

If you have at least 2 of those on the back of your TV, plug the Hummy top scart into TV socket number 1. Plug your DVD into TV scart socket number 2.

If you only have one SCART on your TV, plug the DVD player into the back of your Hummy - use the socket marked Video Scart (the bottom one). Connect the top scart socket on the Hummy to the scart on your TV.

I hope that makes sense.

I presume that you have connected the Hummy by Scart and the Panasonic DVD recorder by HDMI?
