i am trying to download my entire music collection from my MP3 player onto the hummy. I have 19Gb of music. i have got to 5gb and cant transfer anymore. does anyone know if the hardrive has a 5gb partition for MP3/image files ?? i am using medialinker 2.1. I can see the partition shown as D1 and D2 in the top corner of the screen. D2 is reserved for TV recordings and will not allow me to put MP3 onto is. anyone know how i can overcome this - how do i reformat the hard drive and change the partitions ??

There is a 5GB partition for only MP3's and JPEGS. At the present time the 5GB limit cannot be exceed although Humax are aware of customers desire to be able to store more MP3's and JPEGS see below:

Here is the Humax reply for my other questions (wow they're fast):
Will Humax give information regarding how to reformat the HDD on the understanding that everything on it will be lost
Why does the box need a partition?
Can’t you save mpegs on the same partition as the saved recordings without a partition?
If it will be possible to change the software to allow you to use some space for MP3 and JPEG files without changing the partition then this will be the solution that we will go for. However it is not a high priority at the current time. I am unsure why there is a partition on the HDD.
