The affiliate schemes are doing really good so far.
The Trade doubler account ( all banners at the top ) so far have earned us £19.24 (see blue attachment)
The Amazon account has earned us £18.84 (see 2nd attachment)
But i don't get the funds for a while yet.
Trade doubler is about 60days from completion of £30-£50 and amazon is not sent untill i hit £50
This is where i need the pennys from anyone i can get hold of i am looking at it this way if each member could spair £1 that's an amazing amount of money for us and could move us to our very own server (with just us on it) this will be great for us and would guarantee brilliant speeds and downloads from us.
So please if you can afford to help this forum please donate to us today using paypal (link above)
If you do not have a paypal account you do not need to be registered to send a donation you can just use your debit / credit card via their secure servers and send a one time payment.
If you really don't want to use paypal send me a PM and i will send you my address and you can send a cheque / postal order / cash etc.
If you can't see the button you can use this link

I just went to make a payment and was surprised that the sellers name wasnt Mike .... I won't say what the name was in case it breaches confidentiality by doing so - just want to know if this is genuine.
I cannot use my hummy until 2010 (switch over of Fraserburgh transmitter) unless I move but still interested in developments. Please confirm the paypal sellers name is genuine and will donate.

Donation sent.
I've looked at the member list and seen that there is a group called "Donator". The other board I use uses "Member" and "Member (Donating)".
My Paypal email is not the same as my registered email address. Do we need to let you know (PM?) who we are, so you can amend our member group?
I don't personally care about my member group http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif ; however, given the response so far, it seems to me that it may be a good idea to indicate when people are donating, so that new users are encouraged to donate as well (good old peer pressure http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif ).
NB: Any time I buy something online I will be sure to check your affiliates also. That's money for nothing. Given the popularity of shops like Amazon 4000 people providing afilliate payments could provide a reasonable income for the site.

Just sent a shiny new tenner through paypal. Information on this site is excellent. The people have been really kind, gentle and helpful to me - as a newbie to the hummy. I couldn't have got to the stage I'm at with the hummy without it, so it's well worth that I believe.
I also know there's a wealth of inforamtion on here for when I need it. I will be trying to do stuff with the hummy like putting stuff onto DVDs, editing, and all that. And most of it is already up there. So keeping this going is important.
Wondered what your plans were for 'downloads'? Hummy upgrades.
Now I'm away to make more use of the information on here to get the right lead to be ready when the next software upgrade comes along.
But at least I won't feel guity now I've donated.
All the best for and excellent site.
Donation sent.

I will be checking the email address's of all who have sent paypal payments and upgrading them to donator. If its not the email they registered with i will send them an email and get their details.

Not really got any at the moment but since the download section has gone on our bandwidth had trippled http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif so i know with the popularity of this machine and the website this is going to go up and up and up.

I did try to send a couple of quid but PayPal resolutely refused to have anything to do with it! If I opt for PayPal it eventually asks me for a card number and then says it has it already followed by no continue button. If I specify my credit card it says PayPal has it already. I have been round these loops several times with little to show for it. I am using Firefox.
Nobody else seems to have trouble with it so I must be extra dum. http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/surprised.gif http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/surprised.gif

Hi Mike,
Glad to send £5 more to help this dedicated website up & running.
It is obvious that we all appreciate how remarkable & unique Hummy.org is .
Come 2008 to 2012 Digital TV will be here to stay & good-bye analogue viewing, so we all need to get to grips
with our digital receivers & recording equipment.
You and all your so knowledgable advisers are helping the transition for we other Humax users.

Hello Mike,
Sorry for the slow response, but I have only just read your email. I don't visit your site unless I'm having problems i.e. not very often, but it's very good to know you are there when I need you. £5.00 on the way.
Nigel.

Mike - hope my donation helps.
I haven't read all the entries in this thread but suffice to say I agree with all those saying this site is worth it's weight in gold when it comes to:
advice,
tips 'n' tricks,
ommisions from the manual,
first port of call for problem solving & support
and I suspect that'll only increase when the Hummy rolls into Freeview Anytime functionality !

Mike
How's the funding going - Do you have enough ££££ yet? Perhaps a subscription would be appropriate in some way - or can't you get Humax to sponsor the site?

I've never needed to post to these forums, but they're a great source of information, and the fact that this site existed was one reason I bought a hummy. Thanks a lot, donation on the way!

Finally remembered my paypal password, a tenner now on its way.
Originally directed to this site from product feedback on Amazon when looking for PVR before Christmas and after reading the various comments regarding latest upgrade purchased a hummy.
It has changed the way we watch TV.
And it’s reassuring to know that this site is a mine of FREE information[size=7].

Well worth a Fiver, I haven't brought a Hummy yet, but when I do this site will be very useful!
Keep it up.

I'm sending a few quid as well. Thanks for all the help (especially with my first software upgrade) I've had from the various forums. As lots of people keep saying, our Hummy has revolutionised my family's TV viewing.

A fiver on its way to you.
I think we all agree that we'd be a bit lost without this forum, I can't tell you how useful it's been to me with all the advice and help I've received since I joined up. It speaks volumes how ready everyone has been to cough a few quid (and in a few cases, a lot of quids!) to support your site.
Keep up the good work, you have a very appreciative userbase! http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif
There's a fiver on its way, Mike, to help you keep up the good work.
Great to see the mass of support that you have received Mike. As others have said, this site has been such a source of help with our Hummy's.
I just saw a debit on my PayPal account that I could not work out at first, PAYPAL *MICHAELANDL, but I had obviously had a few whiskys late at night when I sent the donation.
Happy to see that it has gone to a good cause, and the financial future of the site seems secure.
Cheers
