Hello folks,

I just got my Hummy yesterday - what a beautiful machine! Wipes the floor with the cheap little Freeview box I was using before.

Unfortunately, like the old Freeview box, it's struggling to pick up Multiplex 22 - very frustrating as I can't watch or record most of the ITV and Channel 4 channels. I bought it yesterday mainly so I could record the Formula 1 this afternoon on ITV1 (as I have something on at that time which is unavoidable), and that's evidently not going to be possible. I've purchased a new indoor aerial, two different signal boosters, and moved the TV, Hummy and aerial all over my room in hopes of avoiding interference.

Ironically the Hummy is showing 60% signal on UHF22, which is stronger than some of the other multiplexes where I currently AM getting channels. Quality is 0% (occasionally flashing to 10%) though.

I'm afraid an outdoor antenna isn't an option as I am renting a room, I realise it's probably the best solution.

Any ideas very welcome. I know it's not the Hummy's fault, but you'd think I'd be able to get a decent signal - I live less than 5 miles from the Crystal Palace transmitter!

Cheers,
J

Possible co-channel interference from an analogue source such as a vcr? Analogue channels will show high signal and no quality on the humax.
