View Full Version : Hard Disk Error / No Record Icon

Brand new PVR9200TBX

Does anyone know:

(1) if it's possible to resolve the hardware/record problem where the Games icon replaces the Record icon, (thereby winding up with an expensive freeview box) without sending unit back to base? Have powered off numerous times and rebooted but to no avail. I understand opening box to check for loose connections is an option but don't want to invalidate warranty if it has to go back.

(2) how accommodating Humax support is with a problem like this?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

If it was me and a brand new box it would be going back. Just give Humax a call, they'll send a replacement.

They have in the past i believe talked people through opening the case to check the leads, but i think that there is now a warranty seal on newer units so if talking to humax ask about invalidating warranty.

Hi and http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/welcomeani.gif to the forums.

I would ring Humax ASAP for a replacement so they can get it to you before Xmas if possible. They may suggest opening the box to check the connections haven't been dislodged in transit and if they do (but only if they do) your warranty will be OK, and I would get the name of whoever you speak to in any case. Even so the unit may need to be swapped.
