What makes you say that mike? all i know is that i can record to different channels at the sametime so thats why i would have thought it had 2 tuners (twin)

To me the word Twin means 2 and this machine only has 1 tuner.

Proberly just me being frustrated that i can't plug it in yet http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif

The Hummy has two internal tuners fed from one external aerial input - Is this what you mean? The box is able to record on two different channels at the same time and also view a third channel (this is a freebie, but with some limitations).

I don't understand this , Mike. If you are able to record (or view - picture in picture) 2 channels at the same time, how can you call this just one tuner?

Just me saying what i am seeing.

I saw 1 tuner and didn't think it was correct now i can see that it is meant to have 1 beause the internal tuner does the work.

I think I see what you mean Mike. The Toppy PVRs have separate inputs and loop-outs for the two tuners, and come with a tiny little cable to loop them together. The Hummy just hides the wiring inside and has only one RF in and one loop out, like JDub says.

That does make it look like there's only one tuner, even though there's two. I understand quite a few people have a PC with two TV cards. which would have two separate inputs.

Unless you have the 8000T model which *does* only have one tuner.
