Foxsat HDR - not till December

I pre-ordered my HDR from my local Superfi branch, in mid November. Rang them Monday this week (24th) to check when it would be sent out and was told that at last they had indeed arrived at the warehouse and as soon as the branch received their delivery, the pre-orders would be sent out.

Rang again yesterday (Wednesday) to check once again and was told would be sent out just as soon as the branch got its allocation. Should be before the weekend....

Shocked this morning (Thursday) to get a call from Superfi local branch to say that its all been a bit of a mix up somewhere and no units had actually been delivered to the warehouse at all and probably would not be in stock until some time in December. Their buyer had had a very frank chat with theit Humax rep, apparently...with good need, I'd say!

They also said that ALL retail stores were similarly affected and that no one would be getting a unit in the very near future... and I can't find one on any website now, either....

Just had a ring round this morning to check stocks elsewhere - John Lewis at Nottingham have over 50 orders for the unit, but no stock has yet arrived at all.

None at Argos yet either...

Comet central orders say again they have no stock and do not know when they will get any.:confused:

As I am office based and sit with email open all day, I added my email address to the stock notifier at Argos. I got this email through at 15:15 on the 27th Nov. I ordered straight away for delivery on the 5th Dec and it arrived yesterday.

Mr Jolly - By the way, how are you getting on with the unit?

So far so good. I have upgraded from a single LNB Sky setup which used to drive a TiVo so need to get a new LNB and a second run of coax installed. The upscaling to 1080i is impressive and switching between the Freeview tuner in my Panny and Humax I find the Humax looks better.
