Hi y'all,
I keep seeing refrences to loader version 4.09 which can be obtained from the tech site.
Can anyone tell me the advantages of the new loader? Is it significantly quicker? or are there any other benefits?

Am I the only sad g%t sitting arround waiting till 10 am when the OTA starts?

Your not the only one. I can't be bothered to move my Hummy to the PC. Aparently the new loader is quicker.

Not a lot quicker, though. The L00 to L90 bit is very fast comparatively but the other stages appear to take just as long, if not longer. Is shows 'DUOVISIO' for a second or so.

And does anyone know if the loader will be updated OTA in the future or will it always be a PC download?

Presently it is not possible to update the loader OTA. It is something that Humax are looking into, but it was felt that the priority was to get the new software out.

I don't really see any reason to update the loader on my 9200. Does anyone want to correct my assumption on this?

No, there is no problem staying with the old loader if you want.

Isn't there something about the new loader not interrupting the signal on the pass through aerial connection?

Anyone know when 4.08 got introduced preloaded - April?. Machines at launch came with 4.07 but I dont know what the step differences are between the 3 now

well my hummy was ordered and arrived on the 12th before the June 13/14 (1.0.6 repeat)

I have the loader version a 4.07 and software version 1.00.01, Having not read the manual properly I did not realise you had to upgrade the software, so can someone tell me, will the latest upgrade include all the ones that I have missed, and do I have to change the loader version via the website.

cym2000 - short answers are Yes and Yes!
have a look at the FAQ for updating via web/null modem cable for the loader.

Or make sure ur hummy is on standby when you got to bed 30th june and it will do a OTA update http://www.hummy.org.uk/invison/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif

That will only update the software, not the loader.

It is not a problem to leave the loader as it is, but it may be worth getting a cable so you can update in future via your PC.
