I have found that my 9300T appears to have TWO ways of "sleeping"
(1) Press the top button to kill the Humax and your television stops receiving signals from it.
The Humax is in standby. The cooling fan will often continue to whirr.
Pressing the top button AGAIN will take the Humax out of standby, reconnect to your TV, etc.
(2) Use the built-in Timer to allow the Humax to switch off at a certain time (say overnight).
Humax appears to go into standby at the appointed time - just like switching off on the remote.
The cooling fan will often continue to whirr.
BUT - when you try to WAKE it up, it can shut down deeper.
In this second state, I find the Humax in standby, no signal to the TV, and the fan whirring.
But when I press the top button on the remote control, then the fan stops whirring.
It seems that the Humax has gone into an even deeper standby.
A second press of the top button is required to fully waken the Humax.
I can only get this 2-stage standby by using the Timer.
I wish it was possible to make the Humax go into fan-less standby by a push of buttons when I wish it.
Any ideas ?
