Have had my FOXSAT-HD for some while - connected via HDMI to Sony HTIS-100 - all works OK.

Today I have connected also connected the FOXSAT via Optical out to my Onkyo Hi-Fi - I would like to hear some of the BBC-HD Classical output via Floor Standing Speakers.

I can get audio from all channels to the Onkyo with the exception of Ch108 BBC-HD.

I realise that during the day time there is only the demo loop, but surely i should be able to get something?

Have tried disconnecting the hdmi lead with no effect.

Any ideas please?

Thanks

At a guess it's a setting on your Amp, SD sound is mpeg1 layer 2 and Hd channels are DD2.0 or 5.1. The BBC HD preview is all DD5.1 and includes a 5.1 channel check

Ah, thanks for the response, sems logical I suppose - maybe I'll try the LR phono connects next - would assume that they will work.

Thanks

They simply output analogue stereo so should work with pretty well anything.
